Two devs, one app, a lot of stories.
Inkspire isn't built by a hundred-person studio. It's built by us — and you'll feel it.
The short story
We started Inkspire because every writing app we tried felt like it was made by people who don't actually write — or by people who do, but never finish anything. We wanted something different.
An editor that opens fast, holds long novels without choking, syncs across every device you own, lets you invite friends to read or co-write, and never asks for your data or your soul.
So we built it. It still has rough edges. We fix them one at a time. We listen.
Local-first
Your novel lives on your device. The cloud is just a mirror. Offline always works.
Private by default
No analytics on your manuscript. No training on your words. Your story is yours.
Honest pricing
Monthly subscription for premium features. The core editor is fully usable — offline, forever — on the free tier. Premium just adds the extras.
The humans behind it
The one
CEO & Co-founder
Attends every meeting so the other two don't have to. Has a lot of opinions. Is sometimes right. Owns one (1) turtleneck.
The other one
Co-founder · Engineering
Writes the sync engine, breaks the sync engine, fixes the sync engine before lunch. Also writes nordic noir, or tries to :)
The other other one
Co-founder · Design & product
Spends three weeks on a single icon and apologizes for nothing. Reads more than is healthy.
Talk to us
Found a bug? Got a wild feature request? Just want to say hi? We genuinely read every email.
You can also download the app and send feedback or bug reports through it, even with screenshots or video recordings — all natively, without ever leaving the app or using third-party programs.
